About e-OCI Pocket

e-OCI Pocket is an independent app published by A&Y Partners Pty Ltd, Australia ("we", "us").

e-OCI Pocket is NOT affiliated with, endorsed by or approved by the Government of India, the Ministry of Home Affairs, any Indian embassy, high commission or consulate, or any immigration authority.

What the app does

An e-OCI is the digital version of an OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) card, downloaded as a PDF from the Government of India’s OCI Services portal.

e-OCI Pocket reads an e-OCI PDF that you choose and shows its details as an easy-to-read card. The original PDF is kept with the card and can always be opened from it.

The QR codes and barcode shown are copied from your e-OCI. e-OCI Pocket never creates, changes or adds codes of its own.

Not an official document

e-OCI Pocket is a personal copy for your convenience. It does not replace your e-OCI, your OCI card or your passport, and it is not proof of identity or immigration status.

Always carry the documents that airlines and authorities require. Officials may ask for the original e-OCI or other documents, and whether a copy is accepted is entirely up to them.

Your responsibilities

Only import your own e-OCI, or that of a family member who has given you permission.

Check the card against your original e-OCI. The app shows the details as they appear in the PDF, and it can misread a document; the original PDF, opened from the card, always shows the document exactly as issued.

Keep your phone, PIN and fingerprint or face unlock secure. Do not use e-OCI Pocket to misrepresent anyone’s identity or status.

Privacy — your documents stay on this phone

Your e-OCI PDF and the details read from it (including name, photo, OCI number, passport number, date of birth, nationality, gender, family names and address) are stored only on this phone, encrypted with a key held in the phone’s secure key store.

Nothing is uploaded. e-OCI Pocket has no accounts, no servers, no analytics and no advertising, and we never receive or see your documents or details.

Your PIN is never stored, only a scrambled check value that stays on this phone.

Your data stays until you remove a card or uninstall the app; uninstalling deletes everything. Cards are not included in phone backups, so on a new phone you import your e-OCI again.

If you open the verification link from your e-OCI, your browser goes to the official OCI services website, and that website’s own terms and privacy policy apply.

Purchases

The Family pack is a one-time purchase made through Google Play. Payment is handled entirely by Google under Google Play’s terms; we do not receive your payment details. Refunds follow Google Play’s refund policy and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Liability

e-OCI Pocket is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of the app, including refused boarding or entry, delays, or reliance on details the app has shown.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms. If we do, e-OCI Pocket will ask you to read and accept the new terms before continuing.

These terms are governed by the laws in force in Australia.
